Kendall Marvel is an American singer and award winning songwriter best known writing hit songs for some of the biggest artists in the country music genre. Born and raised in Southern Illinois, he grew up singing in local bars. In 1998 he moved to Nashville with the intention of being a country music star himself, but came to the realization that he was much better at writing music. He wrote Gary Allen’s Hit song “Right Where I Need to Be” the first day he got to Nashville. The song hit number 5 on the country music chart in 1999. He has gone on to make songs that have been recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Josh Turner, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins and has written and co-wrote songs from albums that have received Grammy nominations. One of his proudest moments was when George Strait recorded his song “Twang” that ended up being a hit single and the title of the album. In October 2017 he released his first album Lowdown and Lonesome and travels the country performing the songs he has written and loves.
