Candlebox

Coming from Seattle, Washington, United States, Candlebox was formed in 1991. The band received multi-platinum success in the early ‘90s. The band was found by Kevin Martin and Scott Mercado. The band was first called Uncle Duke. Then other members Peter Klett and Bardi Martin joined the group changing the name to Candlebox.

Their demo tape won them a record deal with Maverick label in 1992. Their first single “Change” started to garner them fans, but by the release of 1994’s “You,” the band went to take off reaching the mainstream rock radio. They also made it to the Top 20 later to Top 10.
