Charlotte Jaconelli was born on August 24, 1995 in Essex, United Kingdom. She grew up in a working class neighborhood where she worked in a clothes shop to pay her fares to and from her performing arts school. Charlotte is best known as half of the duo Jonathan and Charlotte. With her partner Jonathan Antoine, she finished 2nd on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012. Charlotte was first paired with Jonathan by their high school vocal coach to sing “The Prayer” by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. After Britain’s Got Talent, they signed to Simon Cowell’s SyCo label and released their first album Together in 2012. This was followed by a second album Perhaps Love in 2013.
In 2014, the duo broke up and both Charlotte and her former partner signed solo record deals with Sony. Charlotte’s first album Solitaire was released on July 29th and features a mix of musical theatre, contemporary pop and classical including duets with West End stars Daniel Koek (“All I Ask of You”) and Kerry Ellis (“I Know Him So Well.”)
