Sigourney Weaver was born in New York. She graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree of Arts In Literature, and from Yale Drama School. Her big breakthrough came in 1979, when she played part in the blockbuster hit, Alien. She also performed in both sequels.In 1989, Sigourney won a Golden Globe Award for ‘Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture’ for her work in Gorillas In The Mist.
In addition to Aliens, Sigourney has appeared in the films Ghost Busters, Working Girl, The Ice Storm, Galaxy Quest, Holes, Baby Mama, Wall-E, Avatar, The Cabin In The Woods, and the 2016 all-female remake of Ghost Busters. She has been contracted to appear in Avatar 2 (2018 release), Avator 3 (20202 release), and Avatar 4 (2022 release).
