Shane Ray is an American professional football player born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 18, 1993. He is currently an outside linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Ray played football in high school at Bishop Miege High School in Roeland Park, Kansas. He went on to play college football at the University of Missouri for the Missouri Tigers football program. In 2014 he was named a consensus All-American and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. In 2015 he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round, 23rd overall, in the 2015 NFL Draft. In 2016 he became a Super Bowl champion after the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50. In 2019 he was signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 94 total tackles, 14 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 defensive touchdown.
