Morgan Wallen was born on May 13, 1993 in Sneedville, Tennessee. As the son of a pastor, he grew up singing in his father’s church, being put up on stage at the tender age of three years old. Growing up he was very athletic and focused on baseball. After an injury put to rest any aspirations of playing in college, his interests reverted back to music.
He appeared on the television show singing competition, The Voice, in 2014 and made it to Team Usher and Team Levine until he was eliminated in the playoff round. However, this was enough to launch his music career. He released his first single, “The Way I Talk,” in the spring of 2017. It is ranked number 41 on Billboard’s Country Airplay Charts and has over 5 million plays on Spotify. It’s also featured frequently on SiriusXM Radio’s Highway Channel. In April of 2017, Wallen sang with Florida Georgia Line in several of their tour appearances.
