Monica Bellucci was born on September 30, 1964 in an Italian town in Umbria called Citta di Castello. She began her career at the age of thirteen as a local model and was later signed by Elite Model Management.
Her successful modeling career led her into a career as an actress. She began acting in films in 1990 and her career continues to this day.
