Kesha

The singer/songwriter who is known internationally as Ke$ha was born Kesha Rose Sebert on March 1, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. She signed a contract with Kemosabe Entertainment in 2005 when she was 18 years old, and performed background vocals for a few artists’ songs, including for the Flo Rida single “Right Round”. Finally, in January of 2010, Kesha released her debut album Animal, which went to the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 and had sold over two million copies internationally in less than a year. The single “Tik Tok” sold 14 million copies in just three years, and became one of the best selling singles of the year. Kesha would go on to release her sophomore album Warrior in late 2012 just after closing her 2011 tour. The first single from the second album, titled “Die Young”, carried the album to fame internationally. In late 2013, she and rapper Pitbull released the single “Timber”, the singer’s third number one single, and that same year she embarked on her Warrior Tour to promote her second album.
