Katrina Elam is an American country music singer/songwriter. She was born in Bray, Oklahoma on December 12, 1983. She began singing at an early age, having performed at a 4-H talent show at 9 years old. From then on, her music career began to gain momentum and she was named female vocalist of the year by the Oklahoma Country Music Association and the Oklahoma Opry. At the age of 16, she received a publishing contract and her mother decided to home school her so she could pursue her songwriting/music career. Shortly after high school, Elam moved to Nashville, TN where she secured a contract with Universal South Records.

On October 5, 2004, she released her debut self-titled album. “No End in Sight” was the first single from that album and reached #29 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In that same year, Elam toured with Keith Urban to promote her album and released a second single “I Want a Cowboy,” which debuted at #59 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In 2008, Elam left Universal South to concentrate more fully on songwriting. She was a co-writer on Carrie Underwood’s song “Change” from her 2009 album, Rascal Flatts’ 2011 single “Easy” featuring Natasha Bedingfield, the Eli Young Band’s 2012 song “Say Goodnight”, and Hunter Hayes’ 2014 hit “Invisible”.
