Bob Seger is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born in Detroit, Michigan on May 6, 1945. He has been a part of several bands like Bob Seger and the Last Heard, Bob Seger System, The Decibels, Town Criers, Doug Brown 7 The Omens, The Last Heard, and the Silver Bullet Band. He also became a solo artist for a number of years. Seger has had a number of hit songs, including “Turn the Page”, “Still the Same”, “Against the Wind”, “Like a Rock”, “Shakedown”, “Shame on the Moon”, and others. Throughout his career he has released a number of albums as a solo artist and with various bands, some of his albums include, Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man, Brand New Morning, Seven, Beautiful Loser, The Distance, Like a Rock, The Fire Inside, Ride Out, and more. His music career has spanned six decades and he has sold over 75 million albums worldwide. In 2004 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame an in 2012 he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. After a highly successful and long career in music he announced his farewell tour in September 2018. On November 17, 2017 Lincoln Park declared the day Bob Seger Day in the city.
