Zane Lowe is a TV and radio host for BBC and MTV, best known for his radio 1 show, which gives exposure to up-and-coming artists. His show has helped launch the careers of artists such as Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Wombats. He has won the Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2006, 2010, and 2011; four NME Awards for “Best radio Show” in 2005-2008; and a Grammy Award for “Best Album” (2015).
Zane Lowe, sometimes known by the moniker Zipper, is also a live DJ and record producer, playing sets on the tour circuit or opening for touring bands. He has released seven remixes and produced for artists such as Example, Chase & Status, Sway, Amplify Dot, Tinie Tempah, Sam Smith, Netsky, Liam Bailey, and Action Bronson.
