Xavier Rudd

Xavier Rudd is an Australian musician born in Victoria, Australia on May 29, 1978. He showed an interest in music from a young age and as a child played the saxophone, clarinet and his brothers guitar. Before becoming a solo musician, he played in the band Xavier and the Hum for some time. The music he writes usually touches on environmentalism, spirituality and the rights of Indigenous Australians. He released his debut album in 2002 titled To Let with the label Universal Music Australia. He has since released the albums Solace in 2004, Food in the Belly in 2005, White Moth in 2007, Dark Shades of Blue in 2008, Koonyum Sun in 2011, Spirit Bird in 2012, Nanna in 2015 and Storm Boy in 2018. He has also released eight live albums and is known for playing at music festivals worldwide. Rudd has toured with artists like Dave Matthew, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson among others.
