Vernon Hargreaves was born in Tampa, Florida on June 3, 1995. He was the first round, the 11th overall pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him to a four-year contract. He was a member of the NFL All-Rookie Team. He wears shirt No. 28 and plays the position of cornerback for the team.
Hargreaves went to the University of Florida prior to being a professional football player. During his time in the university, he was a two-time first team All-American selectee in 2014 and in 2015. For three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015, he was a first-team All-SEC pick. Hargreaves went to Wharton High School. While playing for his school, he was named MVP of 2013 Under Armour All-American Game.
