Tyron Woodley was born Tyron Lakent Woodley in Ferguson, Missouri, United States on April 7, 1982. As of February 11, 2019, he is the No. 1 Current Best MMA Welterweight Fighter. In 2016, he was the No. 13 MMA Fighter of the Year. In 2017, his rank was at No. 16 for the same category and at No. 18 in 2018. He is also the No. 6 Current Best Pound for Pound MMA Fighter. He is known by the nickname The Chosen One and he is affiliated with the American Top Team. His last fight was against Darren Till on September 2018 where he won by D’Arce choke on UFC 228. Woodley made his UFC debut on February 2013 when he fought Jay Hieron and won by punches at UFC 156.
