Coming from Gainesville, Florida, United States, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers was formed in 1976. They became among the finest American rock and roll bands. The group released their first album in 1979 entitled “Damn the Torpedos” that became a commercial breakthrough. It sold over two million copies.
In 1996, Petty and the Heartbreakers released “Songs and Music from She’s the One.” Then in 1999, the album “Echo” was released. Then by 2002, “The Last DJ” arrived. The album “Mojo” was released under Reprise Records in 2010. Other albums “The Clubhouse” and “Hypnotic Eye” soon followed.
