Timofey Pavlovich Mozgov was born on July 16, 1986. He is a Russian professional basketball player from Leningrad, Russian SFSR, The Soviet Union. He plays the center position for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Timofey was undrafted in the 2008 NBA draft.
He has played for various teams including LenVo St. Petersburg (2004–2006), CSK VVS Samara 2 (2006), Khimki Moscow (2006 – 2010), New York Knicks (2010–2011), Denver Nuggets (2011–2015), Khimki Moscow (2011), Cleveland Cavaliers (2015–2016), Los Angeles Lakers (2016–2017) and the Brooklyn Nets. He won the NBA championship in 2016. He also won 2 bronze medals while representing Russia at the Olympic Games in 2012 in London and the Eurobasket tournament in 2011 in Lithuania.
