Tim McGraw

Iconic country singer Tim McGraw was born Samuel Timothy McGraw on May 1, 1967, in Delhi, Lousiana. His mother, Betty D’Agostino, had a brief relationship with baseball player Tug McGraw, who did not know Betty was pregnant when he left to pursue his career. Tim McGraw eventually connected with his father right before he went to college, which he left in 1989 for Nashville in hopes of making a name for himself in country music. In 1991, McGraw was signed to Curb Records and released his self-titled debut album the next year.

His second album, Not a Moment Too Soon, was an extremely successful venture, and it soared to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart as well as to #1 on the Billboard Country chart in 1994. The album maintained its #1 spot for 26 consecutive weeks. McGraw has released 12 studio albums to date, has won the Academy of Country Music Awards Vocalist of the Year, married fellow country music star Faith Hill, has sold millions of copies of his CDs worldwide, and earned himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
