Tim Allen

Tim Allen was born as Timothy Allen Dick on June 13, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. His first appearances were as a comedian and he would go on to become a performer at The Comedy Store, where many other actors got started. His first major role began in 1991 with the comedic ABC show Home Improvement, which ran until 1999 and was produced by a company that he had cofounded.

Allen went on to star in the Disney movie The Santa Clause in 1994 (and subsequently two sequels in the early 2000’s). He was chosen to voice Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and Toy Story 2, which are still some of the most popular films in American history. His most recent top role was that of Mike Baxter in Last Man Standing, which ran from 2011 to 2017. His upcoming work includes a film being produced by Netflix.

Allen has won several big awards, including Best Actor, Favorite Actor, outstanding voiceover actor, and even the 2012 TV Guide Award for “Best Comeback.” He was previously inducted into the Kids’ Choice Awards Hall of Fame back in 1996, and he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2004. He also reached the New York Times best-seller list for his 1994 book Don’t Stand Too Close to a Naked Man.
