Thandie Newton

Thandie Newton, born Melanie Thandiwe Newton on the 6th of November 1972 in Westminster, London and is an English actress. After a debut role in the film Flirting in 1991, she then went on to play Rachel Stevens I The Young Americans before making appearances in films such as Interview with the Vampire, where she worked alongside stars Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

Her critical acclaim as an actress came with the role Beloved, where she played the titular character alongside Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover. Her next well known role was in Crash, a drama film for which she won a BAFTA, Empire Award and more. Newton can currently be seen on Westworld, the television show where she plays Maeve Millay. Her most recent film is titled Gringo and she played Bonnie Soyinka.
