Known by his stage name of Sub Focus, electronic music producer Nick Douwma was born on April 13, 1982, in Surrey, England. 2005 saw the year that his single “X-Ray / Scarecrow” went to #1 on the UK Dance Chart, catapulting him to national fame. Three years later, he was at it again with another #1 single, this time with “Timewarp / Join the Dots”, which topped the UK Dance Chart. In 2009, his single “Rock It / Follow the Light” charted at #38 on the UK Top 40, and he continued to release highly charting singles up until his debut album Sub Focus, which he put out in late 2009. He later followed this success with his sophomore album, titled Torus in 2013.
