Steve Lemme is an American actor, writer, and producer born in New York City, New York on November 13, 1968. He is best known for his role in the films Super Troopers and Super Troopers 2. Lemme is part of the comedy group Broken Lizard. The group collaborates on the screenwriting, acting, and productions of their films. The members of Broken Lizard are Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, and Paul Soter. The group was created while the members were attending Colgate University in 1989 and was originally called Charred Goosebeak. They started making short videos and live stage sketches and went on to creating full-length films. They have created, produced, and acted in the films Puddle Cruiser, Super Troopers, Club Dread, The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest, The Slammin’ Salmon, Broken Lizard Stands Up, Freeloaders, and Super Troopers 2. Lemme has also made an appearance in the film Open Water and the television show The 100 Scariest Movie Moments.
