Stephen Colbert, born Stephen Tyrone Colbert was born in Washington D.C on May the 13th 1964 and is an American comedian, television host, writer and actor. With nine Primetime Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards and two Grammy Awards he is best known for hosting the Colbert Report from 2005 to 2014, and then the talk show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert from 2015 onwards.
As an actor, Colbert has held roles in Missing Persons, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Simpsons, Colbert has appeared in sketch shows such as the hit Saturday Night Live as various characters as well as a long standing role as a correspondent with The Daily Show and has been in films such as Mr Peabody & Sherman as well as The Love Guru.
