Formed in Orange County, California, Starling Glow is a pop/rock band lead by singer-songwriter Liz Hill. Hill comes from a musical family who encouraged her to start playing the bass when she was very young. She was influence by country artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Shania Twain and Dolly Parton yet also learned to play songs by Jimi Hendrix and Steely Dan. More recently, she has admired bands that can cross over between the rock and pop genres such as Death Cab for Cutie and Paramore. This led to her combining alternative rock, pop and dance on her Starling Glow’s first single “We Are Infinite.” The song was remixed by producer/DJ Dave Aude who has worked with Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Beyonce as well as Korn, U2 and Faith No More.
Starling Glow will soon release their first album with Grammy-winning producer Billy Mohler who has also worked with Smashing Pumpkins, Macy Gray, Liz Phair and Kelly Clarkson.
