Sara Sigmundsdóttir

Sara Sigmundsdottir is an Icelandic weightlifter and CrossFit athlete, born in Reykjanesbær, Iceland on September 12, 1992. She made her CrossFit Games debut in 2013 in Europe and came in 39th in the regionals and 169th place worldwide. In 2014 she came in 12th in the regionals and 82nd worldwide and in 2015 came in 1st in the regionals, 3rd place in the games, and 17th worldwide. In 2016 she came in 1st in the regionals 3rd in the games in 2016 and 20th worldwide. In 2017 she came in 1st in the regionals, 1st worldwide, and 3rd in the games and in 2018 came in 3rd in the regionals, 37th in the games, and 20th worldwide. In 2015 she competed at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships in the 75 kg category. She was ranked at 31 in the Snatch and 29 in the Clean & Jerk. Her personal bests are 110 kg in the Clean and Jerk, 90 kg on the Snatch, 155 kg on the Deadlift, and 135 kg on the Back Squat. Sigmundsdottir has a large following on Instagram with 1.4 million followers.
