Ryan Tedder, born Ryan Benjamin Tedder on June 26th, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who is known for work with his band One Republic.  Ryan began his musical journey learning to play piano at the age of three and began singing at the age of seven.  His musical influences range from The Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, and Sting.

Ryan broke into the music scene during his internship with DreamWorks SKG by singing on demo tracks for other artists. In 2002 he caught the attention of producer Timbaland and began to train as both a producer and a musical artist. He is credited as the writer for One Republic’s song “Apologize.”  By the time One Republic emerged on the charts he has already wrote and helped produce songs for Natasha Bedingfield, Jennifer Lopez, Leona Lewis, and Hilary Duff.

As the vocalist for One Republic, Ryan and the band released their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007.  The album was released on Timbaland’s label Mosley Music Group.  The band released their second album, Waking Up, in 2009. One Republic released their third album, Native, in 2013 and their fourth album Oh My My in 2016.
