Rene Russo was born Rene Marie Russo on February the 17th 1954 in California and is an American actress, model and producer. Russo’s career began in the 1970’s as a model, appearing on magazine covers such as Cosmopolitan and Vogue, before making her film debut in the 1989 comedy, Major League as Lynn Wells. Becoming well known for her work throughout the 1990’s she worked in films such as One Good Co as Rita and Lethal Weapon 3 as Loma Cole.
With critically acclaimed roles in films such as The Thomas Crown Affair as Catherine, Yours, Mine and Ours as Helen and portrayed Frigga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Thor and it’s sequel, Thor: The Dark World. Coming to critical acclaim for her role as Nina in 2014’s Nightcrawler, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award.
