Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones is an American actress, writer and producer born in Los Angeles, California on February 25, 1976. She is best known for her role as Ann Perkins on the comedy show Parks and Recreations. While in college she served as a musical director for the a cappella group Opportunes. She also acted in several plays and performed in For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Jones made her debut on television in 1997 in the show The Last Don and continued landing roles in the shows Freaks and Geeks, Boston Public, NY-LON, The Office, Wainy Days, Unhitched, Parks and Recreation, Web Therapy, The Awesomes, Black-ish and more. In 1998 she made her debut in film in the movie Myth America and has since had roles in the films Now You Know, Death of a Dynasty, The Ten, Life in Flight, Cop Out, The Social Network, The Big Year, Our Idiot Brother, The Muppets, Decoding Annie Parker, Zoe, Tag, and others. In 2009 she sold her first screenplay titled Celeste and Jesse Forever. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and in 2019 she won a Grammy Award for Best Music Film.
