Randall Wallace was born July 28, 1949 in Jackson, Tennessee. His interest in the arts began when he was seven years old and began writing stories. He moved to Los Angeles to try to become a famous singer and songwriter, but was recruited by producer guru Stephen J. Cannell, who encouraged him to start writing and directing.

Wallace is best known for his work on Braveheart (1995), which won him a nomination for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Writers Guild of America award. His first screenplay, The Man in The Iron Mask (1998), featured top celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeremy Irons. He then wrote the screenplay for Pearl Harbor (2001), which also starred top celebrities including Josh Hartnett and Ben Affleck. As a director, he has worked on films such as We Were Soldiers (2002), Secretariat (2010), Heaven Is For Real (2014), and Point of Honor (2015). Since 1980, Wallace has also written and published several novels: Blood of The Lamb, Where the Angels Watch, The Russian Rose, So Late into The Night, and Love and Honor.
