Ranbir Kapoor is an Indian actor and film producer born in Mumbai, India on September 28, 1982. His career in film started as an assistant director on the films Aa Ab Laut Chalen, and Black. In 2007 he made his acting debut in film in the movie Saawariya but didn’t gain much fame until 2009 when he landed three starring roles in the films Wake Up Sid, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. He has since been in movies like, Chillar Party, Rockstar, PK, Roy, Tamasha, Jagga Jasoos, Sanju, Bucket List, among others. Kapoor also hosted the Filmfare Awards in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2014. Throughout his career in film he has been nominated for over 80 awards and has won over 50, including five Filmfare Awards, five Screen Awards, four Star Guild Awards, two People’s Choice Awards, nine BIG Star Entertainment Awards, and many more. He is one of the most popular and highest paid actors in Hindi cinema.
