Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons

Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons

Contact

Phil Campbell is best known as a guitarist for the band Motörhead, brought in via audition after Brian Robertson left the band in 1984. Campbell ended up staying with the band to become the longest-constant member after Lemmy Kilmister himself. After the death of Lemmy, Motörhead disbanded, having lived a legendary career spanning five decades.

This led Phil Campbell to resort to his own projects. Joined by Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn, he went back to the studio to record a solo project, which evolved into Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. The band includes all three of Campbell’s own sons, plus Neil Starr of the bands Attack! Attack and Dopamine on vocals and Dave Brock of the band Hawkwind on guitar and vocals. So far the group has signed to the Nuclear Blast label and have released an EP and a full album, “The Age of Absurdity.” There is no doubt that a band with such a legacy behind it will attract more attention in the future.
