Paul Greengrass was born on August 13, 1955 in Cheam, Surrey, England. His first award came in 2012 from Kingston University, where he won an award for his great contributions to television and film. After receiving his education from Cambridge University, he went on to attend Granada Television School. He first directed World in Action in the 1980’s while co-writing Spycatcher with Peter Wright, who used to be the assistant director of the British MI5.

He directed 1989’s Resurrection, which won an award at the Berlin International Film Festival. He is best known for directing the action films The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). His work is known for focusing on hard-hitting topics that are often of social or political relevance. He enjoys projects that portray real events as accurately as possible. One of his most poignant films was United 93 (2006), which focused on the events that happened in New York City on September 11th. He won a BAFTA Award for Best Direction for this film. He has also received awards from film critics associations and British Academy Television awards.
