Coming from Lambeth, London, Palma Violets is an indie rock band formed in 2011. It all started with a chance meeting in 2010, where members Sam Fryer, Chilli Jenson, Peter Mayhew, and Will Doyle attended the Reading Festival. They started making music as Palma Violets in their residency at Studio 180.
They made rehearsals and live performances inside Studio 180, attracting a number of audiences as the word spread in the community. Then, major labels went to offer the band a contract. They signed under Rough Trade. Their single “Best of Friends” was released in 2012, and was even nominated ofr Ivor Novello Award in 2014. Their latest release was “Danger in the Club” in May 2015.
