Nina Dobrev was born in Bulgaria as Nikolina Constantinova Dobreva. Currently living in Canada, Nina grew up as a competitive gymnast. Best known for her long-time role in The Vampire Diaries, Dobrev has also appeared in the television shows Degrassi: Minis, and Degrassi: The Next Generation. Films include Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Roommate, and the Perks of Being A Wallflower.
Nina consecutively won the Teen Choice Award for ‘Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Science Fiction’ from 2010 until 2013. In 2012, she won a People’s Choice award for ‘Favorite Dramatic Television Actress’ and in 2015, she won another People’s Choice for ‘Favorite Television Duo’ with Ian Somerhalder.
