Mylène Farmer

Mylene Farmer is a Canadian-born French singer, songwriter, actress, and writer born in Pierrefonds, Quebec, Canada on September 12, 1961. She is one of the most successful music artists in France and has sold over 30 million records there. She has had fourteen of her albums chart at number one in France and holds the most number one hits on the French music charts. In 1986 she released her debut studio album titled Cendres de lune and has since released the albums Ainsi soit je…, L’autre…, Anamorphosee, Innamoramento, Avant que l’ombre, Point de suture, Bleu noir, Monkey Me, Interstellaires, and Desobeissance. She has also released six live albums and four compilation albums. Farmer has had roles and voiced characters in the films Giorgino, Arthur et les Minimoys, Athur et la Vengeance de Maltazard, Arthur et la Guerre des Deux Mondes, and Ghostland. She has also released the books Lisa-Loup et le Conteur, Avant que l’ombre a Bercy, and Fragile. In 1993 she won a World Music Award for World’s Best Selling French Artist.
