MUNA is a Los Angeles-based electro pop trio made up of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin and Naomi McPherson. The three describe their music as dark pop and strongly identify as queer, making sure they avoid using any type of pronoun related to gender in their lyrics. The subject matter of their songs tends toward sexuality, feminism and gender. In 2016, the band played at Lollapalooza and appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. They released their debut album About U in 2017 and will support Harry Styles on his upcoming North American and European tour.
