Mr Eazi is the stage name of the Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Ajibade. He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria on July 19, 1991. Eazi started making music while in college and created a party and promotion company named Swagger Entertainment. In 2013 he released his debut mixtape titled About to Blow with producer KLU. He has since released the mixtapes Life is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos and Life is Eazi, Vol. 2 – Lagos to London. Eazi is known for pioneering Banki music, which is a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. In 2019 he performed at the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Throughout his career he has been nominated for several awards and has won a Nigeria Entertainment Award, a Sound City MVP Award and a WatsUp TV Africa Music Video Award.
