Marvin Jones Jr was born in Los Angeles, California on March 12, 1990. He was the fifth round, the 166th overall pick of the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2012 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he only appeared in five of the team’s 11 games. He made it to all 16 games during the next year. He was placed on the Reserve/Injured list in 2014, and he missed the season. He was back in action in 2015.
When he became a free agent in 2016, he signed with the Detroit Lions. He made 50 receptions and 930 receiving yards during the first season that he joined Detroit.
During his college years, he went to the University of California, Berkeley. He was the Honorable Mention All-Pac 12.
