Maria Bamford, born Maria Elizabeth Sheldon Bamford on the 3rd of September 1970 in California is an American stand-up comedian, voice actress, and actress. Widely known for her self deprecating comedy style and jokes about anxiety and depression as well as her portrayal of her dysfunctional family, her career began in 1989 as a voice actor and since then she has worked in a large body television shows, including The Legend of Korra, The Trouble With Normal and Fresh Off the Boat.
She is best known for her role in Arrested Development, and for having her own television show with Netflix’s Lady Dynamite where she works alongside Fred Melamed and Mary Kay Place. With several comedy CD’s released thus far she is often praised for her style of humor.
