Juan Luis Londoño Arias was born on January 28, 1994 in Medellín, Colombia. He is better known by his stage name Maluma. He is a Colombian singer and songwriter. Maluma started his musical career in 2010 and signed to Sony Music Colombia and Sony Latin. His music video for “Miss Independent” has over 35 million views.
In 2013, Maluma got many nominations for several awards including Best Latin America Central Act at the MTV Europe Music Award 2013, MTV EMAs, and the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. He won an award at the 2013 Shock Awards for Best Radio Song at the 2013 for “La Temperatura”. In 2017, Maluma was nominated twice in different categories at the Billboard Music Awards, including Top Latin Artist. He has done many tours, performing most of his singles – Pretty Boy (2016–2017), Dirty Boy World Tour (2016–2017) and F.A.M.E. Tour (2018).
