Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was born on September 9, 1986. He is a Cameroonian professional basketball player from Yaoundé, Cameroon. He plays either the Small forward or power forward position for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He attended high school at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida and he played 4 seasons of college basketball for UCLA from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, he was picked in the second round (37th overall) in the 2008 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Luc has played with the Milwaukee Bucks (2008–2013), Sacramento Kings (2013), Minnesota Timberwolves (2013–2014), Philadelphia 76ers (2014–2015), Los Angeles Clippers (2015-2017) and Houston Rockets. Luc won Pac-10 Freshman of the Year (2006) and Pac-10 All-Freshman Team (2006). He also won a silver medal representing Cameroon in the African Championships in 2007 in Angola.
