Loadstar

Loadstar is a DJ and electronic music production duo from Bristol, England. The group’s members consist of Gavin ‘Xample’ Harris and Nick ‘Lomax’ Hill.  Loadstar produces mainly drum and bass, dubstep, electro house, and grime. The duo met in university and signed to RAM Records in 2007. They released their first single in the same year called “Lowdown.”

In 2010 Gavin and Nick finalized their moniker of Loadstar and released their first single under the name. The track was called “Link to the Past/ Rapids.” In the same year the duo began musical production for the band Hadouken!  They produced the songs “Mecha Love” and “Oxygen.” In 2011 the released a remix of Ed Sheeran’s “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You” and garnered wider recognition. In 2013 Loadstar released their debut album called Future Perfect. The album features appearances from Scrufizzer, Takura, Hadouken!, and Lloyd Yates. In 2017 the duo announced their second full studio album called I Need the Night. The single “I Need the Night” was released in January of the same year.
