Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov was born on September 20, 1988 in Russia. He is a mixed martial artist who competes in judo wrestling and samba forms of fighting. He is the longest record holder of the unbeaten record of 24 wins in mixed martial arts. He is also associated with the ultimate fight championship, where he competes in the lightweight division. He began his training at a very early age with the help of his father. He began his career at the age of 17 and in 2008 he joined the MMA and became a winner 4 times in his first 4 months. Within three years he won 12 matches in total therefore he had 16 wins and no losses. He then set a record of 21 wins out of 27 matches. In 2016, he went on to win against a newcomer Darrel Horcher at the UFC after being plagued by a series of injuries in 2014 and 2015. Unfortunately, in 2017 he was set to fight with Tony Ferguson but was not able to due to injuries incurred leading to the cancellation of the match. Some awards of his include the winner of the Pankration Atrium Cup (2008), The winner of the World Sambo Championship Combat competition (2009), Storedown of the Year winner (2013), and Comeback fighter of the year by sherdog.com (2016).
