Katy Perry born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson has become one of the biggest pop stars in the world. She is from Santa Barbara, CA, and first started out as trying pursue a career in gospel. Though her career in gospel didn’t go as far as expected, it would open the doors for her to become a pop star. She would sign with Capitol Records, and would quickly gain popularity with the release of her single “I Kissed A Girl” which was on her album One of the Boys. She would release more hit singles, and she became a certified pop star with the popularity of the album. Katy Perry has had numerous Grammy nominations, #1 singles, and plenty of sold out concerts worldwide.
