Singer-songwriter Kate Earl was born on October 8, 1981 in Anchorage, Alaska. She started playing piano at age four and guitar at age seventeen. Her dream was to pursue a career in music. In 2004,she moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue that dream.
Earl signed almost immediately signed a deal with The Record Collection. Her debut album, “Fate is the Hunter,” was released in May 2005. In 2007, she left The Record Collection and signed with Universal Republic in 2008. Her self-titled second album was released in August 2009. It reached number 69 on the Billboard Top 200 and number six on the Billboard Top Digital Albums chart. She signed with Downtown Records in 2012 and released her third album, “Stronger,” in November 2012. She opened for the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty on their summer tour in 2013. Earl chose to go independent in 2014.
