Joan Smalls is an American actress and supermodel born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico on July 11, 1988. Smalls is best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret and being the first Latino to be the face of Estee Lauder. In 2007 she was signed with Elite Model Management and changed to IMG Models in 2009 to focus on runway modeling. She is one of the highest paid models in the industry and has worked with massive brands and designers, including Prada, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Dior, Fendi, Moschino, Valentino, Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Victoria’s Secret, Alexander Wang, Jimmy Choo, Calvin Klein, Tiffany and Co., and many more. She has also been in magazines like Elle, Glamour, Interview, Harper’s Bazaar, Dazed & Confused, V, among others. In 2012 she was named Model of the Year at the Style Awards and was ranked number 8 on Forbes magazine’s World Highest Paid Models in 2013. Smalls made her debut in film in 2017 in John Wick: Chapter 2 and was also in Set It Up, A Netflix Original film in 2018.
