Jason Aldean is an American country music singer born in Macon, Georgia on February 28, 1977. He showed an interest in country music from a young age and at 15 years old joined the house band at Nashville S. in Georgia. After high school he performed with his band at clubs and festivals around the Southeast. In 1998, at the age of 21 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to further his music career. In 2005 he was signed to Broken Bow Records and released his debut studio album self-titled Jason Aldean. The album sold over one million copies and contained his first number one hit titled “Why.” In 2006 he was named Top New Male Vocalist at the 2006 ACM Awards. He has since released the albums Relentless, Wide Open, My Kinda Party, Night Train, Old Boots, New Dirt, They Don’t Know, and Rearview Town. He has one album that is certified quadruple-platinum, one album certified double platinum, and 4 albums that are certified platinum. 19 of his singles have reached number one on either the Country Airplay charts or the Hot Country Songs charts. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won two CMA Awards, seven American Country Awards, eleven ACM Awards and more.
