Jamie Dornan was born on the May 1, 1982 in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. He began his career as a musician, in folk band ‘Sons of Jim’. He was also modelling for Abercrombie & Fitch and Calvin Klein at the time. Dornan’s first stint of acting was in the movie Marie Antoinette (2006), and he later appeared in Beyond the Rave (2008) and Shadows in the Sun (2009).
Dornan appeared in several more movies and TV episodes, until he got the break that has made him as well-known as he is today. Dornan was cast to play Christian Grey in the well know franchise ‘Fifty Shades’. He appeared in the 2015 movie ‘Fifty Shades’, 2017 movie ‘Fifty Shades Darker’, and is currently in filming for the third movie, ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ which is due to be released in 2018.
Dornan has won several awards for his acting, including the IFTA Awards ‘Best Actor’ (2014).
