Jamie Andries

Jamie Andries is a viral Internet celebrity known for her performance as a cheerleader. She started out cheerleading in Allen High School, competed with Cheer Athletics in Plano, Texas, then enrolled to the University of Oklahoma, where she joined the cheerleading team. She landed a role in the web series “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader.”

Jamie Andries became a World Champion and NCA Champion in 2012. She has obtained viral marketing support on the website Instagram, where her followers number over half a million, giving birth to the term “cheerlebrities,” a celebrity cheerleader. Fellow cheerebrity Gabi Butler cites Jamie Andrews as an inspiration, confiding in an interview with the magazine The Atlantic that “girls feel pressure to post pretty photos of themselves.”
