Jameela Jamil

Jameela Jamil is a British actress, model, and presenter born in London, England on February 25, 1986. Before appearing on television she started her career as an English teacher. In 2008 she appeared on the show Music Zone and in 2009 began presenting T4. That same year she became a co-host on the morning television show Freshly Squeezed. In 2010 she was featured in Vogue in the British Editorial Class of 2010. In 2011 she started writing a column for the women’s monthly magazine Company until 2014. She started hosting the reality television show Playing It Straight in 2012 replacing June Sarpong. That same year she became the radio host of The Official Chart and the co-host of The Official Chart Update on BBC Radio 1. She became the first solo female presenter on the BBC Radio 1 Chart show. In 2016 shed move to Los Angeles, California to work as a DJ and presenting radio shows. In 2016 she made her acting debut in the television show The Good Place. She has also had roles in DuckTales and Mira, Royal Detective. In 2018 she started hosting a recurring segment on Last Call with Carson Daly titled Wide Awake with Jameela Jamil.
