J.J. Watt is an American professional football player born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on March 22, 1989. He is currently a defensive end for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Pewaukee High School in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. In his senior year he awarded the Woodland Conference Player of the Year Award and selected for first-team All-State. He played his freshman year of college football at Central Michigan University, but transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for his sophomore and junior year. In 2011 he was selected by the Houston Texans in the first round, 11th overall, in the 2011 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with the Texans for $11.24 million. In 2014 he signed a six-year extension contract with the Texans worth $100 million. Throughout his career he has recorded 455 total tackles, 92 sacks, 51 pass deflections, 22 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries, 1 interception, and 2 defensive touchdowns. He has been selected 5 times to play in the Pro Bowl and is a 5 time First-team All-Pro. He has also made several appearances in film and on television in the shows and films The League, New Girl, Bad Moms, and the CMT Music Awards.
